Kotapadi J. Rajesh, popularly known as KJR, is an Indian film producer, distributor, and actor associated with the Tamil film industry. He is the founder of KJR Studios, a Chennai-based production company known for producing and distributing successful and socially relevant films.
Born in Tamil Nadu, Rajesh initially worked in the banking sector for several years before following his passion for cinema. His transition from finance to filmmaking reflected his strong interest in storytelling and film production.
Rajesh established KJR Studios in 2016 and made his production debut with Aramm (2017), starring Nayanthara. The film received critical acclaim and brought him recognition as a producer willing to support meaningful and issue-based cinema. He later produced films such as Gulaebaghavali (2018), Airaa (2019), Hero (2019), Ka Pae Ranasingam (2020), Dikkiloona (2021), and Ayalaan (2024).
