K. R. Gangadharan
Biography
K. R. Gangadharan (1936–2012), popularly known as KRG, was an Indian film producer who worked extensively in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries. Over the course of his career, he produced more than 60 films under various banners, including KRG Productions, KRG Art Productions, KRG Enterprises, and KRG Movies International.
Film Career
K. R. Gangadharan played a significant role not only as a producer but also as an influential figure in the South Indian film industry. He founded the Tamil Film Producers Council and later served as the president of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. His leadership was widely respected, and he was unanimously elected as president by producers, distributors, studio owners, and theatre owners representing the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries.
