Krishna Ramanan
Biography
Krishna Ramanan is an Indian cinematographer who is based in Mumbai. While growing up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu he started his career as a still photographer in South Indian films and has served as a film stills and working stills photographer in as many as 14 films in all the South Indian languages.
He moved to Mumbai as a film magazine photographer for various publications in Mumbai. In 1997 he moved back to Chennai to assist internationally renowned, multiple award-winning cinematographer Santosh Sivan in films like Dil Se.. Asoka, Terrorist, and many more till he became an independent cinematographer.
In 2002 he got his first break as cinematographer in a Tamil film "Kummalam", since then he has served as cinematographer in many films in as many as 4 Indian languages. He has done camera work for films in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, and Bengali, Krishna Ramanan has done notable work in Series such as Twisted 1&2, Boss, Untouchables, and Rain which are doing very well in OTTs.
