Biography
Tagged as the "Action Hero" of the late 80`s and 90`s, Sarekoppa Vasanth Kumar is popularly known by the name Kumar Bangarappa. His film credits include the movies Keralida Sarpa, Amara Prema, Ashwamedha (1990), Belliyappa Bangarappa (1992), Ksheera Sagara (1992), and Nirbandha (1996).
However, in 1996 Kumar entered politics and has since then appeared in a few films including Taali Kattuva Shubhavele (2004) and Keladi Shivappa Nayaka (2012). In 2017, he appeared in the movie Chakravarthy directed by Chinthan.
