Kumari Naaz (20 August 1944 – 19 October 1995) was an Indian actress best known for her work as a child artist and later as a supporting actress in Hindi cinema. She earned widespread recognition for her natural performances and appeared in numerous successful films during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.

 

 

Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Naaz began acting at a young age and gained national acclaim for her role in Boot Polish. Her performance in the film won her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress, making her one of the youngest recipients of the honor.

 

 

As an adult, Kumari Naaz appeared in several notable Hindi films, including Kaagaz Ke Phool, Bahu Begum, Sachaa Jhutha, Dushmun, Kora Kagaz, and Raja Rani. Throughout her career, she shared the screen with many of Hindi cinema's leading stars, including Raj Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, and Meena Kumari.
