He made his directorial debut with the film Jannat, starring Emraan Hashmi. The film was a commercial success and became particularly popular for its music and storyline centered around cricket betting.

Following this success, he directed several notable films, including Tum Mile, inspired by the Mumbai floods of 2005, and Jannat 2, a sequel that continued his association with crime and drama themes.
