Biography
Kusum Punjabi is an Indian assistant director who worked in Hindi films. She is among the eminent personalities of the Bollywood film industry. Apart from being an assistant director, she is also a story and screenplay writer. She made her debut in the entertainment industry as an assistant director through the movie ‘Eyes,’ which was released in 2002.
This movie, directed by Vipul Amrutal Shah, became a blockbuster. Some of the renowned movies in which she has worked as an assistant director include ‘There was a Beautiful Woman’ in 2004, ‘Government’ in 2005, ‘Getting Scared is Necessary’ in 2006, etc.
Her favorite actor is Amitabh Bachchan. She is also a story and screenplay writer of the film ‘Nishabd,’ which was released in 2007. Her writings and thoughts impressed ‘Ram Gopal Verma’ and he introduced her as a dialogue writer in his film Darling.
