Lakshya Lalwani

Biography

Lakshya Lalwani (born Laksh Lalwani on April 19, 1996, in Delhi, India) is an Indian actor who has successfully transitioned from a prominent career on television to making his mark in Hindi cinema.

Early Life and Television Career

After completing his 12th grade, Lakshya, who at one point worked as a gym trainer earning approximately ₹3,000–₹4,000 per month, began his journey in the entertainment industry. Following an audition for a reality show and his mother's encouragement, he received an offer for a fictional TV show that provided him with financial independence.

He made his acting debut in the television series Warrior High in 2015. He went on to gain recognition for roles in shows like Adhuri Kahaani Hamari and the supporting role of Veer Mehra in Pardes Mein Hai Meraa Dil. His major television breakthrough came with the titular role of the warrior Porus in the historical series of the same name (2017–2018), which was a significant, high-budget Indian television production.

Film Career and Breakthrough

Lakshya was signed to a three-film deal with a major production house to expand into Hindi cinema. Despite initial setbacks, including the shelving of his anticipated debut films, Dostana 2 and Bedhadak, he remained focused on his Bollywood ambitions.

His official feature film debut came with the action film Kill (2024), where he played the lead role of Amrit, an army man fighting dacoits on a train. The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and was released to largely positive reviews, with critics noting his intense and ferocious performance. This role proved to be his breakthrough, earning him multiple Best Male Debut awards, including the Filmfare Award. He also starred in the satirical drama series The Bads of Bollywood* (2025). His upcoming projects include the film Chand Mera Dil.

He attributes his success to hard work and determination, famously declining a lucrative television offer after Porus to focus on his movie career.
