Biography
Lalithasree, born Subhadra, is an Indian actress best known for her extensive work in Malayalam cinema. With a career spanning several decades, she has appeared in over 450 films, primarily in supporting roles, and is especially remembered for her comedic performances.
Early Life
Lalithasree was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, to Chandrasekharan Nair and Lakshmikuttiamma. Her father hailed from Kottayam, while her mother was from Palakkad.
She had an elder sister, Mallika, and a younger brother, Vidyasagar. Her father, a doctor, had moved the family to Vijayawada for work. Tragically, he passed away when Lalithasree was in the seventh grade, after which the family relocated to Chennai (then Madras).
