Biography

Lana Condor is an American actress and producer known for her work in film and television. She gained international recognition for playing Lara Jean Covey in the To All the Boys film series and later appeared in projects including Alita: Battle Angel, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Moonshot.

 

 

Early Life

Lana Condor was born Tran Dong Lan on May 11, 1997, in Cần Thơ, Vietnam. She was adopted as an infant by American parents and grew up in Chicago and California. She trained in ballet and later studied acting at the New York Film Academy and the California State Summer School for the Arts.

 

 

Acting Career

Condor made her feature-film debut in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), playing the mutant character Jubilee. Although the role was relatively small, it introduced her to a major international film franchise.

She subsequently appeared in Patriots Day (2016), before taking a leading role in Alita: Battle Angel (2019), the science-fiction action film directed by Robert Rodriguez.

 

Her breakthrough came with To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2018), in which she portrayed Lara Jean Covey. The Netflix romantic comedy became a major success and led to two sequels: To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (2020) and To All the Boys: Always and Forever (2021). Her performance made her widely recognized among younger audiences.

Condor later starred in the science-fiction romantic comedy Moonshot (2022), playing Sophie, and appeared in the animated series Rilakkuma's Theme Park Adventure.

 

 

Television and Voice Work

Condor has expanded her career into television and voice acting. She voiced Kaoru in the animated series Boo, Bitch (2022), in addition to serving as an executive producer on the series.

She also voiced Casey in the animated film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken (2023), continuing her work in family-oriented entertainment.

In addition to acting, Condor has taken on producing responsibilities. Her involvement as an executive producer on projects such as Boo, Bitch demonstrates her growing interest in the creative and production aspects of the entertainment industry.
