Biography
Lance Solomon Reddick was born on June 7, 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland. From a young age, he exhibited a passion for music, studying piano and classical composition at the Peabody Preparatory Institute and attending a summer program at the Walden School. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester. After an injury curtailed his aspirations as a singer, Reddick pursued acting, obtaining a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama in 1994.

Film: In the John Wick film series (2014–2023), Reddick portrayed Charon, the enigmatic concierge of the Continental Hotel, bringing a quiet strength and depth to the character.

Reddick was married to Stephanie Reddick, and they had two children. He passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 60 due to natural causes.
In honor of his contributions to the entertainment industry, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films established the Lance Reddick Legacy Award in 2024. The inaugural award was presented to his John Wick co-star, Keanu Reeves
