Lars Skree
Biography
Lars Skree is a highly accomplished Director of Photography who graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 1997. Over the years, he has worked on a variety of feature and documentary films and has received numerous awards for his exceptional cinematography.
Skree's filmography includes several award-winning works such as 'Putins Kiss', for which he won the Best World Cinema Cinematography award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011. He was also Emmy-nominated for his work on the documentaries 'Armadillo: The Swenkas' and 'Armadillo: Love on Delivery', as well as 'Ticket to Paradise' and the Oscar-nominated 'The Look of Silence' directed by Joshua Oppenheimer. In addition, Skree won the Golden Frog Award at Cameraimage in 2015 for his outstanding work on 'The Look of Silence'.
Skree's work has also been recognized on the world stage, with the world premiere of the latest Lauren Greenfield film, 'The Kingmaker', taking place at the Venice Film Festival in 2019.
Most recently, Skree's work as Director of Photography for the documentary 'Simple As Water' has been shortlisted for the Oscars in 2022. Skree's impressive achievements make him a prominent figure in the film industry, cementing his position as one of the most talented cinematographers in the business.
