Biography

Lauren Graham is an American actress, author, and producer best known for her quick wit, charm, and ability to bring complex, relatable women to life on screen. She was born on March 16, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and spent much of her childhood in Virginia. After earning a degree in English Literature from Barnard College, she went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts in Acting Performance from Southern Methodist University, setting the stage for a career that would make her one of television’s most recognizable stars.

Graham began her acting career in the mid-1990s with guest roles on shows such as Seinfeld, Caroline in the City, and Law & Order. Her breakthrough came in 2000 when she was cast as Lorelai Gilmore in the critically acclaimed series Gilmore Girls.
