The film, starring Vishnu Vishal, Kishore, and Saranya Mohan, was a commercial and critical success, establishing Laxman Kumar as a skilled cinematographer with a natural flair for visual storytelling.

After his debut, Laxman Kumar continued to hone his craft, contributing as a cinematographer to Puthagam (2013), a drama that further showcased his ability to create visually engaging frames.

 

In 2015, Laxman Kumar transitioned to directing with his ambitious project Masala Padam. This film highlighted his versatility as he took on multiple roles, including screenplay writer, story writer, dialogue writer, producer, and cinematographer.
