Biography

Lee Joon, born Lee Chang-sun on February 7, 1988, in Seoul, South Korea, is a South Korean actor, singer, dancer, model, and DJ. He studied modern dance at the Korea National University of Arts and began his entertainment career through acting and modeling before becoming a member of the boy group MBLAQ in 2009.

 

Before his music career, Lee appeared in the sitcom That Person Is Coming (2008) and played the teenage Raizo in the Hollywood film Ninja Assassin (2009). He later developed a successful acting career with roles in Iris 2, Gapdong, Heard It Through the Grapevine, My Father Is Strange, The Silent Sea, and Bulgasal: Immortal Souls.

 

Lee received particular recognition for his performance in Rough Play (2013), his first leading film role, and won the Best New Actor prize at the Wildflower Film Awards Korea.

 

In Bloody Heart (2022), Lee portrayed King Lee Tae, a Joseon monarch caught between his political ambitions and his complicated relationship with Yoo Jeong. The historical romance aired for 16 episodes on KBS2 and starred Lee alongside Kang Han-na and Jang Hyuk.

 

He later played Min Do-hyuk in The Escape of the Seven (2023) and The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection (2024). Lee has also continued working in television and entertainment programs, including 2 Days & 1 Night.

 

With experience across music, film, television, dance, and variety entertainment, Lee Joon has established himself as a versatile performer in South Korean entertainment.
