Biography

Lesley-Ann Brandt, born on December 2, 1981, in Cape Town, South Africa, is a South African and American actress.   

 

 

Brandt's early career began after she immigrated to Auckland, New Zealand, with her family in her late teens. She worked in retail and as an IT recruitment consultant before venturing into modeling, which led to television commercials. She studied acting and trained in the Meisner technique.   

 

 

Her first significant acting role was in the New Zealand television series "Diplomatic Immunity." She also appeared in guest roles in "Shortland Street" and "This Is Not My Life." Brandt gained international attention for her role as Naevia in the first season of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" and the prequel miniseries "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena."

 

 

After moving to the United States, Brandt guest-starred in "CSI: NY" and "Legend of the Seeker." She had a lead role in the Syfy original movie "Zombie Apocalypse." Other film and television credits include "Drift," "Single Ladies," "Gotham" as Larissa Diaz/Copperhead, and "The Librarians" as Lamia.

 

 

Brandt is widely recognized for her role as Mazikeen in the FOX/Netflix series "Lucifer" (2016–2021). More recently, she appeared in "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live" (2024) as Pearl Thorne and voiced Liza Barrel in the animated series "Captain Fall" (2023).
