Lim Ji-yeon (임지연) is a captivating South Korean actress who has carved a compelling path in the entertainment industry, transitioning from critically acclaimed independent films to prominent roles in popular television dramas.

 

 

Born on June 23, 1990, Lim Ji-yeon pursued acting at the Korea National University of Arts, a prestigious institution known for nurturing talented performers. Her early career was marked by her daring and impactful performances in independent films. She gained significant attention for her role in Kim Tae-yong's erotic thriller "Obsessed" (2014), where her portrayal of a woman entangled in a forbidden affair earned her critical praise and the Best New Actress award at the 23rd Buil Film Awards. This bold debut immediately established her as a talent to watch.   

 

 

Following "Obsessed," Lim Ji-yeon continued to showcase her versatility in various film projects, including "The Treacherous" (2015), a period drama where she played a captivating and cunning character, and "Luck-Key" (2016), a successful comedy where she displayed her lighter side.   

 

 

However, it was her foray into television dramas that broadened her reach and solidified her mainstream popularity. She starred in the drama "High Society" (2015), marking her first leading role in a major network series.
