Biography
Lissy is a former Indian actress who predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema. Born on 17 February 1967 in Kochi, Kerala, she became one of the popular leading actresses of Malayalam films during the 1980s and early 1990s.
She made her acting debut as a teenager and quickly gained recognition for her natural performances and screen presence. Lissy appeared in numerous Malayalam films, working with leading actors such as Mohanlal, Mammootty, Mukesh, Jayaram, and Suresh Gopi.
Some of her notable films include Chithram (1988), Thalavattam (1986), Mutharamkunnu P.O. (1985), Vandanam (1989), Ayalvasi Oru Daridravasi (1986), Manivathoorile Aayiram Sivarathrikal (1987) and Kalyana Unnikal (1990).
Lissy was particularly known for portraying romantic, dramatic, and family-oriented characters. Her collaborations with prominent Malayalam filmmakers helped establish her as a familiar face of the industry's commercially successful cinema of the period.
She married filmmaker Priyadarshan in 1990, and the couple later separated. They have two children, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Siddharth Priyadarshan.
Lissy eventually stepped away from acting and has largely remained away from the film industry. She is remembered for her contribution to Malayalam cinema during one of its most productive periods.
