Biography
Lubna Salim (née Siddiqui) is an Indian theatre, film, and television actress, widely recognized for her contributions to stage and screen. In addition to acting, she is the founder and producer of the theatre group Essay Ensemble, through which she has actively promoted meaningful and contemporary theatre.
Early Life and Education
Lubna Salim was born into a creative family as the daughter of renowned scriptwriter Javed Siddiqui. She grew up in an environment deeply connected to storytelling and the performing arts. She completed her education at Mithibai College, Mumbai, where she actively participated in theatre at the inter-collegiate level, laying a strong foundation for her future career in acting.
Career
Lubna Salim has built a diverse career spanning theatre, television, and cinema. She gained widespread recognition for her role in the popular television series Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, for which she won the Indian Telly Award in 2008.
In theatre, she has been part of several notable productions. In 2010, she acted in the play Lakeerein, written by Gulzar and directed by Salim Arif, where she performed opposite actor Yashpal Sharma. Her stage work has been praised for its emotional depth and strong character portrayal.
