Ludovic Bernard is a French film director, screenwriter, and former first assistant director, born on 22 April 1970 in Cannes, France. He began his career as an assistant director in the 1990s and worked on numerous French and international productions.
As a first assistant director, Bernard worked on major films including La Haine (1995), Assassin(s) (1997), Mesrine (2008), The Lady (2011), Taken 2 (2012), Malavita (2013), Taken 3 (2014), and Lucy (2014).
Bernard made his feature directing debut with The Climb (L'Ascension, 2017), a French adventure comedy based on Nadir Dendoune's real-life story. He followed it with Mission Pays Basque (2017), In Your Hands (2018), 10 Days Without Mum (2020), and 10 Days Without Mum 2 (2023).
He gained international recognition for directing episodes of Netflix's Lupin, starring Omar Sy. Bernard directed episodes across Parts 1, 2, and 3, contributing to the stylish French crime series inspired by the legendary character Arsène Lupin.
