Biography

Madhu Sharma is an Indian actress and producer who has worked in various film industries, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, and primarily Bhojpuri cinema.   

Born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Madhu Sharma began her acting career in 1998 with Tamil films like Guru Paarvai. She then appeared in several South Indian films across different languages. Her Telugu film debut was in 2005 with That is Pandu, and she also acted in Kannada films such as Ugra Narasimha. In Hindi cinema, she was seen in Hum Hain Pyaar Mein (2003) and Traffic Signal (2007). She made her Marathi debut in 2014 with Vaadhdivsachya Haardik Shubhechcha.   

However, Madhu Sharma is most recognized for her significant contribution to Bhojpuri cinema. She entered the Bhojpuri film industry in 2013 with Ek Duje Ke Liye and has since become a prominent figure, working with top actors like Dinesh Lal Yadav, Ravi Kishan, Khesari Lal Yadav, and Pawan Singh. Some of her notable Bhojpuri films include Chhapara Ke Prem Kahani, Ghulami (which she also produced), Khiladi (also produced), Maa Tujhe Salaam, and Jai Hind.

In addition to acting, Madhu Sharma has also ventured into production, backing two Marathi and four Bhojpuri films. Her work in Bhojpuri cinema has earned her accolades, including the Best Actress Award at the 6th Bhojpuri Film Awards for Devra Bada Satawela and the Best Actress Award at the 10th International Bhojpuri Film Festival for Jai Maa Durga.   

As of 2025, Madhu Sharma continues to be active in the film industry. She has been married to businessman Shubham Vishwakarma since 2018 and resides in Mumbai.
