Biography
Mallika Prasad Sinha is an Indian actress known for her work in television, films, and theatre. Born in Bangalore, she has built a diverse career as a performer, director, and creative professional, earning recognition for her versatility and dedication to the performing arts.
Education and Training
Mallika completed her Master’s degree in Performance Making from Goldsmiths, University of London. She later earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Acting from the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. Her strong academic and professional training helped shape her as a refined and disciplined performer.
Acting Career
Mallika made her acting debut in Kanooru Heggadithi (1999). She followed this with Kanoor Ki Thakurani (2000) and played the lead role in Guptagamini (2001). In 2002, she portrayed the titular role in Devi Ahilya Bai, receiving praise for her powerful performance.
In 2014, she returned to television as the lead actress in Magha Mayuri. Her performance in Nagakanikke (2017) earned widespread appreciation, and the serial won the award for Best Kannada Serial.
She later appeared in the film Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat (2022) as Amrita’s mother. In 2023, she portrayed Radha Rajesh in the popular series Aspirants. In 2024, she played Zubeida in the web series Killer Soup, further strengthening her presence in digital entertainment.
Behind the Camera
Alongside acting, Mallika worked as an Associate Director at 2Streams Media Productions, where she contributed to the production of 250 episodes of the award-winning series Garva. This experience showcased her ability to handle creative responsibilities beyond acting.
