Manjima Mohan is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films. Known for her charming screen presence and versatile acting, she has become one of the notable actresses in the South Indian film industry.

 

Early Life and Background:

Manjima was born on March 11, 1993, in Kottayam, Kerala, into a Malayali family. She grew up in a well-educated family and was always inclined towards acting and performing arts. Manjima completed her schooling in Kottayam and later pursued a degree in English Literature.

 

Career Beginnings:

Manjima’s career began at a young age when she appeared in Malayalam television serials. Her debut as a child artist came through the TV show "Indulekha", which helped her gain early recognition.

 

However, her breakthrough in the film industry came with her acting debut as a lead actress in the Malayalam film "Oru Vadakkan Selfie" (2015), where she starred alongside Nivin Pauly. The film was a commercial success, and her performance earned positive reviews.

 

Rise to Fame:

Manjima's career took a significant leap when she made her Tamil film debut with "Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada" (2016), directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. She starred opposite actor Silambarasan (STR), and her portrayal of a young woman caught in a whirlwind romance garnered much attention. The film's success elevated her to stardom in the Tamil film industry.

 

Following her debut, Manjima went on to appear in several successful films across multiple languages. Some of her notable Tamil films include "Dharma Durai" (2016), where she played the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi, and "Seethakaathi" (2018), where she impressed with her performance in a supporting role.
