Biography
One of the most underrated actors in the Tamil film industry, Mansoor Ali Khan is known for his versatility. From comedic roles to playing the terrifying villain, the veteran has done it all. Mansoor Ali Khan who started his career in 1991, in his career spanning over 25 years, has starred in more than 50 films mostly in Tamil, apart from a few films in Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu languages.
Following the huge success of Captain Prabhakaran, Mansoor Ali Khan received plenty of offers and he continued to play mostly antagonist roles all through the 90s and the 2000s. With the dawn of the new millennium, the versatile actor started experimenting more with comedy and supporting roles.
Some of his notable film credits post-2000 include Raajjiyam (2002), Neranja Manasu (2004), Kanthaswamy (2009), Thillalangadi (2010), Singam 2 (2013), Naanum Rowdydhaan (2015), Bruce Lee (2017) and his 2018 releases include Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala, a Tamil comedy horror directed by Vignesh Karthick and Sema.
Apart from acting, the versatile actor has also worked as a music composer, writer, and producer. Having made his debut as a music director with Rajadhi Raja Raja Kulothunga Raja Marthanda Raja Gambeera Kathavaraya Krishna Kamarajan (1993), he subsequently composed for films like Vaazhga Jananayagam (1996), and Athiradi (2015), the last of which was also his maiden venture as a producer and writer. His 2019 releases include NGK and Jackpot.
