Biography
Manu Rishi Chadha, born on January 3, 1971, in New Delhi, India, is a multifaceted talent in the Indian entertainment industry, known for his work as an actor, dialogue writer, and lyricist. He began his artistic journey in Delhi, training under renowned theatre director Arvind Gaur for six years. During this period, he performed in over 40 plays with the Asmita Theatre Group, honing his craft and developing a deep understanding of performance art.
Transition to Film and Writing
In 2001, Chadha moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in the film industry. He made his Bollywood acting debut in the film Saathiya (2002), playing the role of a doctor. His breakthrough came with the film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), where he not only acted but also contributed as a dialogue writer and lyricist. His work on this film earned him the Filmfare Best Dialogue Award and the IIFA Best Dialogue Award in 2009.
