Biography

Mathews Pulickan is an Indian music composer and playback singer who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He is known for creating music for films that combine contemporary sounds with melodic and atmospheric elements.

Career

Mathews Pulickan began gaining recognition through his association with filmmaker Jeo Baby. He composed the music for 2 Penkuttikal (2016), Jeo Baby's debut feature film. He also contributed as a playback singer to the film.

He subsequently composed the music for Kunju Daivam (2018), another film directed by Jeo Baby. The soundtrack and background score were composed by Pulickan, and he also produced music for songs featured in the film.

Pulickan later worked on The Great Indian Kitchen (2021), sharing music-director credit with Sooraj S. Kurup. The film's music complemented its intimate and socially focused storytelling.

His other notable credits include Sree Dhanya Catering Service (2022), on which he shared music credits with Basil C. J., and Freedom Fight (2022), where he was one of the composers contributing to the anthology film's soundtrack.

Kaathal – The Core

One of Mathews Pulickan's prominent later projects was Kaathal – The Core (2023), directed by Jeo Baby and starring Mammootty and Jyothika. Pulickan composed the film's music, including songs such as "Ennum En Kaaval" and "Neeyanen Aakasham."
