Mattia Carrano
Biography
Mattia Carrano, born on May 13, 2000, in Rome, Italy, is an Italian actor who gained recognition for his breakthrough role in the coming-of-age series Prisma (2022–2024). He comes from an Italian-Hungarian family and developed an interest in sports from a young age, practicing water polo and the Korean martial art Hwa Rang Do. At age 11, he competed in a world championship in Los Angeles and won two gold medals.
Carrano made his acting breakthrough when he was cast in Prisma, created by Ludovico Bessegato and Alice Urciuolo. He played the challenging dual roles of identical twins Andrea and Marco Risorio, appearing as both characters throughout the series' 16 episodes. His performance earned him the Best Series Actor award at the 2024 Nastri d'Argento Grandi Serie awards.
He later appeared as Sansiro in the Italian crime film The Big Fake (2025), expanding his work beyond television. His emerging filmography also includes B.A.E. – Before Anything Else, which is listed as a production in progress.
