Maya Erskine is an American actress and writer, born on May 7, 1987, in Los Angeles, California. She studied theatre at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and began her career with theatre performances before moving into television and film.
Erskine gained widespread recognition as the co-creator, writer, executive producer, and star of Hulu's comedy series PEN15 (2019–2021). Alongside Anna Konkle, she portrayed a fictionalized version of her 13-year-old self, earning multiple Emmy nominations for the series.
Her other notable credits include Man Seeking Woman, Insecure, Casual, Wine Country, Plus One, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. She has also established herself as a voice actress, providing the voice of Mizu in Netflix's acclaimed animated series Blue Eye Samurai.
