Maya Ray Thurman Hawke (born July 8, 1998) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. She is best known for her role as Robin Buckley in the Netflix science fiction series Stranger Things and for her performances in films such as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Do Revenge, Asteroid City, Maestro, and Inside Out 2, in which she voiced the emotion Anxiety. Alongside her acting career, Hawke has established herself as a successful musician with several critically acclaimed albums.

Maya Hawke was born on July 8, 1998, in New York City, New York, United States. She is the daughter of actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.

Hawke was diagnosed with dyslexia during childhood, which made traditional schooling challenging. She attended several schools specializing in learning differences before enrolling at the prestigious Juilliard School to study acting. She left after a year when she began receiving professional acting opportunities.

Maya Hawke made her screen acting debut in 2017, portraying Jo March in the BBC adaptation of Little Women.
