Biography
Medha Shankr, born on August 1, 1997, in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is an Indian actress and trained Hindustani classical singer. She holds a master's degree in Fashion Management from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi.
Her acting journey began with the British television series Beecham House (2019), where she portrayed Roshanara. She made her Hindi film debut with Shaadisthan (2021), playing the role of Arshi Modi. In 2021, she also appeared in the web series Dil Bekaraar as Eshwari Thakur.
In 2022, Medha starred in Max, Min and Meowzaki as Minara "Min" Hussain, a film that received critical acclaim at various film festivals. Her breakthrough came with the 2023 biographical drama 12th Fail, where she portrayed Shraddha Joshi, an Indian Revenue Service officer. Her performance earned her the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.
Beyond acting, Medha is passionate about music and has lent her voice to the song "Bolo Na – Film Version" from 12th Fail (2023). She is also an animal lover and has a pet dog named Laila Shankar.
