Biography
Meera Chopra, also known by her screen name Nila in Tamil cinema, is an Indian actress and model who has made her mark across Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi-language films. Born on July 8, 1983, in New Delhi, India, she pursued her education at SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University, before venturing into the entertainment industry. She is a cousin of the renowned Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, and Mannara Chopra.
Career
Meera began her acting career with the Tamil film Anbe Aaruyire (2005), where she starred alongside S. J. Surya. She subsequently appeared in several Tamil films, including Lee (2007), Jaganmohini (2009), and Killadi (2015). Her Telugu film credits encompass titles like Vaana (2008), Maaro (2011), and Greeku Veerudu (2013).
Transitioning to Hindi cinema, Meera featured in films such as Gang of Ghosts (2014), 1920 London (2016), and Section 375 (2019), where she portrayed Anjali Dangle. She has also been part of web series, including The Tattoo Murders (2021) and Hiccups and Hookups (2021).
Personal Life
On March 12, 2024, Meera Chopra married businessman Rakshit Kejriwal in a private ceremony held in Jaipur.
