Mihir Desai is an Indian Director. He was born on 24 May 1988 in Calcutta, India. His birth name is Mihir Bharat Desai. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago, focusing on Film Direction and Editing and technical experience in cinematography.
He is an Indian filmmaker most popularly known for his work in two seasons of Mirzapur, considered the hit web series released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. He became part of this series by a call from Karan Anshuman. Being a part of Mirzapur has taught him a lot and made him hit overnight.
He won awards for best director and streaming awards monthly edition in November 2018. Mihir also directed the non-fiction TV show Man Vs. Job season 1, OMG! Yeh Mera India Season 3 for History TV 18 and Kahi Suni Season 1 for Epic Channel India. Several of his short films have won accolades at Indian and International festivals.
