Milana Vayntrub is an Uzbek-American actress, comedian, writer, and activist best known for her quick wit, warmth, and engaging screen presence. She was born on March 8, 1987, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (then part of the Soviet Union). At the age of two, her family immigrated to the United States as refugees, settling in Los Angeles to escape political unrest. Growing up in a new country, Vayntrub developed a passion for storytelling and performing, using humor as a way to connect with others.
She began acting at a young age, appearing in commercials and small television roles before studying at the University of California, San Diego, where she earned a degree in Communication. She later trained with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, sharpening her comedic skills and improvisational timing.
