Mishel Prada

Biography

Mishel Prada found herself a pop culture cult figure thanks to her role as Gabi in "Fear the Walking Dead: Passage" (AMC, 2016-17). The Miami native began her career acting in the shorts "Day's Eye" (2008) and "A Handful of Dust" (2011), before making her feature debut in James Bird's "Eat Spirit Eat" (2013). She followed with a part in Li Lu's Southern drama "There Is a New World Somewhere" (2015) and a lead role in "Benjamin Troubles" (2015).

She moved on to a role in the horror film "Tell Me How I Die" (2016). After writing and producing the short film "Return to Sender," she broke out in a big way by earning the lead in "Fear the Walking Dead: Passage." In the short-form web series offshoot of "The Walking Dead" (AMC, 2010-), her character partners with Kelsey Scott's Sierra as they attempt to navigate their way to Mexico to escape the infected zombies.

The show was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series in 2017. After the series run, she appeared in Adam Sigal's indie comedy "The Two Dogs" (2017) and appeared opposite David Arquette in the comedy "Bachelor Lions" (2018).

She moved back to television, taking a role in "Vida" (Starz, 2018-) about a pair of Mexican-American sisters in Los Angeles who are dealing with the revelation of a family secret. Prada played Emma, the sister who had left their old neighborhood and moved to Chicago, who returns to East LA after their mother dies unexpectedly.
