Molly Elizabeth Brown is an American actress, recognized for her notable roles in the Showtime crime drama Dexter: Original Sin, where she portrayed a young Debra Morgan, and in the Paramount+ series Evil, playing Leslie Ackhurst.
Early Life and Education
Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Molly attended Stagedoor Manor, a renowned performing arts training center in Loch Sheldrake, New York, during high school. She further honed her craft at the University of Iowa, where she earned a degree with honors in Theatre Arts.
Career
Brown's career began with several minor television roles, where she appeared in episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, High Maintenance, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. In 2020, she made a notable appearance in the Netflix mystery drama Lost Girls as Missy. The following year, she starred alongside Sigourney Weaver in the comedy-drama The Good House, portraying Emily Good.
She gained further recognition through recurring roles in Billions, where she played Elizabeth Prince, and Evil, where she portrayed Leslie Ackhurst. In 2024, Brown's portrayal of a young Debra Morgan in Dexter: Original Sin brought her even more attention.
