Naina Balsaver Ahmed, born in 1959 in Uttar Pradesh, India, is a distinguished Indian actress, model, and beauty queen. She gained prominence by winning the Femina Miss India title in 1976, a significant achievement that propelled her into the limelight.
Early Life and Pageantry
In 1976, Naina Balsaver participated in the Femina Miss India pageant and clinched the crown. This victory led her to represent India at both the Miss Universe 1976 and Miss World 1976 pageants. Notably, she withdrew from the Miss World competition in protest against the participation of South African contestants, aligning with her stance against apartheid policies. At the Miss Universe pageant, she remained unplaced.
Career
Following her success in pageantry, Naina ventured into acting and modeling. She appeared in Bollywood films, including the notable film Raakh (1989). Additionally, she was featured in the television soap opera Manzil.
