Nalini
Biography
Nalini is an Indian actress who has worked predominantly in Tamil and Malayalam cinema, as well as Telugu and Kannada films and television. Born on 28 August 1964, she became one of the familiar leading actresses of South Indian cinema during the 1980s.
Early Life and Career
Nalini entered the film industry at a young age and established herself as a leading actress in the 1980s. She appeared opposite several prominent actors of the period, including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Vijayakanth, Sathyaraj and Mohan.
Her Malayalam career included notable films such as Idavela (1982), Novemberinte Nashtam (1982), Lekhayude Maranam Oru Flashback (1983), Mounaraagam (1983), Aavanazhi (1986), Adimakal Udamakal (1987) and Bhoomiyile Rajakkanmar (1987). Her performance as Lekha in Lekhayude Maranam Oru Flashback remains one of her recognized roles.
In Tamil cinema, she appeared in numerous films and continued acting in character roles after her early years as a heroine. Her later credits include Sukran (2005), Manikanda (2007), Nagaram (2010), Aranmanai 3 (2021) and Yaman Kattalai (2025).
