Navaniat Singh is a prominent Indian film director and producer, primarily associated with Punjabi cinema, with ventures into Bollywood. Since beginning his career in 2004, Singh has been instrumental in shaping modern Punjabi filmmaking.
Early Career
Singh started as an assistant director, contributing to films like Asa Nu Maan Watna Da (2004), Dil Apna Punjabi (2006), and Mitti Wajaan Maardi (2007). He made his directorial debut with Tera Mera Ki Rishta in 2009.
Notable Works
He gained recognition with Mel Karade Rabba (2010), followed by Dharti (2011), Taur Mittran Di (2012), Singh vs. Kaur (2013), and Rangeelay (2013). Singh's Bollywood debut came with Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se (2018), featuring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol. In 2019, he directed the Punjabi remake of Singham, starring Parmish Verma.
