Nipun Dharmadhikari
Biography
Called `The Theatre Revivalist` by Forbes India, Nipun Dharmadhikari is an Indian theatre actor and director, who has been a part of the film industry as well. Nipun founded Natak Company in 2009 and is known for reviving century-old musical dramas.
Much before he founded the theatre company, he was actively a part of Pune`s theatre scene, however, after his seniors from college graduated, he was forced to direct a play. His debut venture as a play director, Cycle, was very well-received, much to his surprise. Following this, Nipun went on to direct and perform in several plays.
In 2009, he was seen playing the role of a toy seller in the critically acclaimed Marathi movie Harishchandrachi Factory. Making his debut as a screenwriter, Nipun was associated with the 2013 romantic comedy Nautanki Saala!, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunaal Roy Kapur.
Next, in 2017, he made his directorial debut with the Marathi family drama Baapjanma, which he wrote the screenplay of and also co-produced. His 2019 release includes Dhappa.
