Nishant Nayak

Biography

Nishant Nayak is a prominent Indian director, known for his work in reality television and unscripted formats. Born in Kolkata, he completed his early education at St. Xavier's Collegiate School and later at Assembly of God Church School. 

Pursuing his passion for visual storytelling, he moved to the United States, where he earned a master’s degree in Visual Media Arts from Boston University. Although trained in a broad spectrum of visual media, Nishant found his calling in the dynamic entertainment industry and subsequently returned to Mumbai, India, to establish his career in television.

In his career, Nishant has directed Indian adaptations of popular global reality series, including Shark Tank India, Fear Factor India, Masterchef India, and Top Model India. His expertise lies in multi-camera directing, a skill particularly valuable in managing the complex setups of live and pre-filmed shows. 

This unique niche in unscripted programming has helped him make a significant mark in India’s growing entertainment landscape, especially in bringing internationally popular formats to the Indian audience.

While Nishant's directorial portfolio largely centers around reality television, his contributions extend to several other television formats and shows, showcasing his versatility in the industry.
