He landed in Ernakulam with no clear direction, doing odd jobs to survive. A fortuitous meeting with editor Don Max through a friend changed his life. Noufal assisted Don Max for 12 years, working on approximately 30 films, learning the intricacies of editing on the job rather than through formal film school. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for his deep understanding of cinematic storytelling through the edit.
