Nuran Evren Sit
Biography
Nuran Evren Şit was born on 22 January 1980 in Ankara, Turkey. She is a Turkish screenwriter, producer, and former assistant director and casting director. She graduated from the Cinema-TV Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and began working in film and advertising productions in 2001.
Şit began her screenwriting career with the television series Elveda Rumeli (2007) and later worked on projects such as Hanımın Çiftliği, İntikam, A.Ş.K., Hayat Yolunda, and Vatanım Sensin. She also co-wrote the films Love Likes Coincidences (2011), 8 Seconds (2015), and Love Likes Coincidences 2 (2020).
She gained international recognition through Netflix productions, serving as a writer and producer on The Gift (Atiye, 2019–2021) and later creating and writing Another Self (Zeytin Ağacı, 2022–2024). She has also been associated with Last Call for Istanbul (2023).
Her work on Vatanım Sensin earned her the 2017 Golden Butterfly Award for Best TV Series Writer. Through her work across television, cinema, and streaming platforms, Şit has become a notable figure in Turkish screenwriting.
