Olgun Şimşek
Biography
Olgun Şimşek was born in 1971 in Yenice, Büyükorhan, Bursa, Turkey. He is a Turkish actor who graduated from the Theatre Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory and began his professional acting career in 1993.
He first gained wider recognition through the comedy production Bir Demet Tiyatro and later became known for his role as Sabit Ballıoğlu in Yedi Numara. His film breakthrough came with Karışık Pizza (1998), for which he won the Most Promising Actor award at the Ankara Film Festival.
Şimşek received major critical acclaim for his performance as Rıdvan in Yazı Tura (2004), earning several Best Actor awards, including the Golden Orange. He has since appeared in productions such as Yalan Dünya, Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, Ramo, Cici, and Netflix's The Tailor (Terzi).
