Park In Je

Biography

Park In-je (born May 21, 1973) is a South Korean film director, television director and screenwriter. He directed the Netflix original series Kingdom Season 2 and the Disney+ original series Moving.

Director Park In-je started directing after graduating from Korea National University of Arts. In 2001, Park made his directorial and writing debut with the short film Happy Death. In 2003, he wrote and directed another short film, The End of the Road. The movie won the grand prize at the fourth Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival.

While working on a story about a journalist, Park learned about the whistleblower Yun Seok-yang. He was a soldier serving in the Defense Security Command of Korea's Armed Forces who revealed his organization was investigating many public figures like former presidents and religious leaders. The story inspired Park to create Moby Dick, a movie where a journalist uncovers a secret organization that controls the government.

Park co-directed season two of Kim Eun-hee's Kingdom with Kim Seong-hun.

In February 2021, producers JTBC and Next Entertainment World canceled an agreement which resulted in Park In-je replacing Director Mo Wan-il as the director of the Disney+ original series Moving.
