Biography

Park Se-wan (born September 24, 1994, in Busan, South Korea) is a talented South Korean actress recognized for her dynamic performances across television, film, and web series. A graduate of Sungkyunkwan University's Department of Acting for Theatre, Film & TV, she has steadily built a diverse and acclaimed portfolio since her debut in 2016.

 

Early Career and Breakthrough

Park Se-wan made her television debut in 2016 with KBS2's drama special The Red Teacher, portraying the character Sook-hee. That same year, she appeared as a student ghost in the popular series Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. Her breakout came in 2017 with supporting roles in School 2017 as Oh Sa-rang and I'm Not a Robot as Angela Jin, which garnered her increased attention and praise.

 

Leading Roles and Acclaim

In 2018, Park secured her first leading role in the youth drama Just Dance, based on a documentary of the same name, where she starred alongside Jang Dong-yoon. Her performance earned her the Best New Actress award at the KBS Drama Awards. She continued to showcase her versatility with roles in Joseon Survival Period (2019) and Never Twice (2019–2020), the latter earning her the Excellence Award for Actress in a Weekend Drama at the MBC Drama Awards.

 

Film and Web Series Ventures

Transitioning to the big screen, Park appeared in No Mercy (2019) as Park Eun-hye and in Collectors (2020) as Hye-ri. Her role as Yeon-hee in the 2022 comedy film 6/45 was particularly notable, earning her the Best Supporting Actress award at the Baeksang Arts Awards and the New Wave Award at the Grand Bell Awards.

 

In the realm of web series, Park starred in Netflix's So Not Worth It (2021) as Se-wan and in Alice, the Ultimate Weapon (2022) as Gyeo-ul. She also made appearances in One Day Off (2023) and Doona! (2023), further expanding her digital footprint.
