Biography

Park Si-yeon, born Park Mi-seon on March 29, 1979, is a South Korean actress and beauty pageant titleholder. She first rose to prominence by participating in the Miss Korea pageant in 2000, which became a springboard for her acting career.

 

Park made her acting debut in China in 2004, appearing in minor roles in several CCTV dramas, which helped her gain early exposure. In 2005, she made her breakthrough in South Korea when she was cast in the popular Korean drama My Girl, marking her first leading role. At that time, Park was also gaining attention for her relationship with actor-singer Eric Mun, which contributed to her media visibility.

 

While initially facing criticism regarding her acting skills, Park worked hard to improve and gradually gained respect in the industry. She became well known for her roles in several significant television dramas, such as Bitter Sweet Life (2008), Coffee House (2010), and The Innocent Man (2012), the latter of which significantly boosted her popularity and acting credibility.
