Early Life and Education
Paromita Vohra was born into a family with deep roots in Indian arts and cinema. She is the daughter of Shikha Vohra and the granddaughter of the music composer Anil Biswas and actress Ashalata Biswas, who worked in Hindi cinema during the 1930s and 1940s.
Vohra studied mass communication at Miranda House, University of Delhi from 1986 to 1989, where she developed the skills that would later shape her career in filmmaking and media.
