Paul McEwan
Biography
Paul McEwan is a British actor born in Barnsley in 1970 to Denise and Barry Stephenson. He studied acting at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London and supported his training by working in a call centre.
Over the course of his career, McEwan has appeared in a wide range of television productions, including Clocking Off, No Angels, Holby City, Casualty, Doctors, and Emmerdale, where he is particularly recognized for portraying PC Shane Doyle. Following his departure from Emmerdale, he took on roles such as Peter Bleach in Secret Flight and also appeared in WPC 56 and Eternal Law. In addition to his screen work, he has performed on stage with prestigious theatre companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Exchange Theatre, and the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre.
