Perarasu is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and lyricist who works primarily in Tamil cinema. He is known for making commercial action films, often featuring themes of justice, family, village life, and conflicts between ordinary people and powerful political figures.

 

 

Early Life and Career

Perarasu entered the Tamil film industry as a filmmaker and made his directorial debut with Thirupaachi (2005), starring Vijay and Trisha Krishnan. The film was a commercial success and established him as a director of mainstream action entertainers.

He subsequently directed Sivakasi (2005), again featuring Vijay in the lead role. The success of these films established a recurring association between Perarasu and commercially oriented action cinema.
