Best known for working on the screenplays of the movie adaption of Suzanne Collins` third book in the Hunger Games series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014) and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015), Peter Craig is a novelist, writer and actor. As a novelist, he debuted in 1998 with The Martini Shot.
He also acted in movies like Hooper (1978) and Satisfaction (1988). Craig made his debut as a screenwriter with the 2010 heist drama, The Town. He worked on the screenplay, along with the director and lead actor of the movie, Ben Affleck.
The story was adapted from Chuck Hogan`s novel Prince of Thieves. In 2016 Craig adapted his novel, Blood Father, to make a movie of the same name, starring Mel Gibson. Craig joined writer Ted Tally and adapted Doug Stanton`s non-fiction book Horse Soldiers to write 12 Strong.
The movie directed by Nicolai Fuglsig, tells the story of the first CIA paramilitary officers and the U.S. Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Elsa Pataky, Michael Shannon, and William Fichtner in pivotal roles. His 2018 release includes Robin Hood. In 2020, he appeared in the film Bad Boys For Life.
